Good to know

Common questions

What conditions can neuro physiotherapy help with?

Neuro physiotherapy helps with stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and balance or vestibular disorders, among others. Treatment aims to restore movement, strength, balance and day-to-day independence.

Do you treat children as well as adults?

Yes. Paediatric physiotherapy is a core part of the practice — covering developmental delays, sensory integration, early intervention, functional training and parent education. Sessions are gentle, play-based and family-centred.

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist?

You do not always need a referral to begin physiotherapy, but for new, complex or worsening conditions an in-person clinical assessment is essential, and Dr. Richa Shah will coordinate with your treating doctor where appropriate.

Which technique or service is right for me?

That depends on your diagnosis, stage of recovery and goals. After a thorough assessment, Dr. Richa Shah may combine approaches — for example DNS and clinical Pilates for core stability, or Kinesio taping alongside neuro-rehabilitation — into one individualised plan.

Not sure which service you need?

Tell me your symptoms and goals. After a proper assessment, we'll choose the right approach together.
